It feels like you have invested your energy into something before, and the ROI seems so slow. As a result, it affects your performance, and you feel lazy about continuing. Romantically, this could mean that your efforts are not reciprocated, and you are second-guessing yourself. Likewise, you begin to doubt whether this potential partnership would even be worthy in the long run.

It also feels like you are losing focus–too much distractions. Perhaps you expected that you will reap the benefits quite quickly, and now you are encumbered with various thoughts, almost losing hope about this situation.
