Both of you seem to be in denial of this attraction, and you are being critical of yourselves. You cannot read minds, of course, so you cannot also be in the position to understand their motivation unless you communicate this with them.

This card is a reminder for you to never judge their actions at face value. If you cannot communicate your feelings with them, at least do not label their actions and judge them based on your expectations.

This card is also a reminder that we are all sparks of the Divine, and that we all exert our free will. Sometimes our judgment precedes our ability to sit down and listen. So Spirit now invites you to examine the other person’s journey with compassion. If you are too afraid to communicate about their intention, then just sit back and suspend judgment.

Here are some ways for you to try if you want to learn to channel empathy.

The Lovers

This card heralds healthy partnerships, unions born of consent and enthusiasm.

A cycle of mutual desire and beneficence is broken, leaving one or all involved parties feeling incomplete and bereft.

The Chariot (Major Arcana)

There is a definitive sense that propels your journey. The Chariot has no reins and is propelled by force of will.

Interrogate your goals and means of achieving them.

Ten of Cups

There is finally an overarching sense of harmony in your life. Though the journey has been long, you have materialized your hopes and desires in ways you may not have expected.

There is something barring the road to complete happiness. You are close to fulfilling your wishes, but you have neglected to tie up a few loose ends. You cannot fully enjoy your achievements because there is lingering regret and discord.
